Description
I really enjoy nothing more than sitting in the summerhouse stitching these hoops. They originally began life representing the sea bed and eco system. Martin loves diving and often comes home after a day’s dive and shares videos and tales of what lies beneath the waves. This piece has been hand stitched onto a background of cotton/linen mix fabric held within a 3 inch beech hoop. Rice stitch in added in multiple colours in the first instance, and then this is followed by the various beads used to represent differing parts of the sead-bed. Clusters of seed beads, bugles and sequins lead your eyes around the piece, and the sparkle really helps make this a talking piece. Great for wall hanging or on a shelf.
